12's in 1.5ft3 sealed...

Hey guys,

My buddies has a sealed dual 12" box that has about 1.52ft3 per sub... He is dead set on sealed, and he was looking at Type-r 12's, but from reading on here the type-r's are NOT a good sub for sealed enclosures....

He only wants to spend $300 on the pair..... What sounds good in a sealed 1.5ft^3 per sub enclosure. I'm gonna let him try my compvr in his box (it's seperate chambers), cuz I really wanna show him the difference between sealed and ported, but he's pretty determined to stay sealed....

He has a JL500/1 right now, but he said when I get my new amp he's gonna see if we can get a deal on two.... I am looking at a Hifonics 1600w, so he'll probably get the same ( just noticed on ebay that the bxi's only go down to 35Hz??????)
