the only reputable meter(s) in car audio is the termlab (possible an audiocontrol, depending on the event), but for general purposes, the radio shack ones are fine (we use them here at a recording workshop)

those radioshack ones are like +/- 2-3 decibels. I think. Ive seen one of those and it tells you how accurate they are in the manual
