if you are running a 500\1 JL amp, id go with the W7 in a nice fat low tuned daily box.
id rather run a w7 over the l7, but if you are looking for sheer output, the L7's will win if you give them a bit more power (maybe another 1000~1500 watts lol )

Im planning on going to a 1000.1 sooner or later...im getting a ported box and i put my w7 on a meter in a different SEALED box and i hit 142 DB im going ported and so i think ill be at 143 or 144 im happy...

off the wall question but what about 13w7 vs. solo x 18 . i know the 18 has more cone space but over all which one is better . price no object and running it off a 1000/1 sealed

1000 watts just aint gonna do a solo x justice. i think a 13W7 would be louder with that kind of power.

The 13W7 and SoloX 18 are two completely different drivers built for completely different purposes.

Yes I agree, the W6v2 is one of the best SQ subs out there IMO.

I wouldn't even say the W7 is a SQ sub. It is after all JL's SPL sub, it just happens to have a good amout of SQ to boot.

the W7 would be by far a better option as far as practicality. the solo x is going to consume most of your usable space in your car. as far as wattage goes, you are looking at a monster amp(s) and a monster electrical system. both are most likely going to be loud enough for your taste. bu i feel that there are better subs out there for SQL.

Im not complaining i got my 12 w7 shipped still in packaging BRAND NEW for 350 ...so u all keep saying its not worth the money
