Anyways, out of the original question...I'd easily take a pair of 12" L7's over a single SX 12.

i worded it wrong i guess... polecat recommends cvx's for sealed L7's for ported... i assumed that CVX's were not as loud as L7's, then related that fact to SX's... seeming as how the majority of people consider sx's and L7's to be on par

however i seem to be wrong in my assumption

all things being equal the L7 will be louder just based on cone alone
