what subs have a 12-spoke basket?

is it just a generic basket they all use or are they made to specs?

this is what i could come up with off the top of my head:

SI Mag

SI BM

AA Arsenal

TC1000

Fi.X

Fi.Q

Fi.SSD

Fi.BTL

RE SE

RE SX

RE MT

i'm sure i missed a bunch, though.

also, is the SS RL-S and TC-3000 a 'generic' basket as well (same for the SS RL-P and Mach 5 four spoke)?

its a common design first tooled by MTX back in the day, and now produced in several factories..

it offers decent clearance, durability.. and most importantly.. its cheap

bigbassman arnt u scared someones gonna break into ur car with no tint on it ??
they may break in.. they won't get much...

its parked under monitored cameras at work, and sits beside an open window in my bedroom at home.. in which the bedroom has many, many loaded firearms... and its easy enough to make it looks justified..

what makes it cheap? mainly just popularity?

but if they break in and don't get anything there's a good chance they'll ruin all your stuff anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif maybe even more out of anger.

an unseen deterent (security screws, bolting stuff down, etc) doesn't seem very effective if no one knows about it until after they break in.

Paul Roth, originally designed the 4-spoke “Venezuela” basket at least 20 years ago (maybe longer). The design was then copied by several people including a Russian vender who later designed the 12-spoke basket you are talking about. The only critical difference between the 4-spoke and 12-spoke is the clearance under the suspension. The 4-spoke has 1.25” and the 12-spoke has 1.5”.

Cory Jackson designed the Basket SS uses for the RL-s and TC uses for the TC-2k/3k as well as the Eclipse Ti frames also used for the LMS drivers and a few others lingering subwoofers. The designs were done exclusively for TC Sounds, and are owned by TC Sounds.

MTX was indeed the first company to buy and use the frame, but they did not design it. Paul works for Credence, he's a great guy!

The 4-spoke and 12-spoke frames no longer have patents in the US and can be bought direct from the venders in China and then used without a legal problem.

Loaded firearms FTW.
