12" RE SX On a Hifonics BX1205D or BX1000D

Hey guys, im going to be using a 12" RE SX in a ported enclosure in my mustang. I know its rated at 1000w RMS, 2000w peak. Ive never had one, or know anyone that has, but my question is can I use a Hifonics BX1205D (1200w rms into 1 ohm,) safely on a daily driver, or should I stick with the BX1000D and push 1000w RMS? That would be a much better choice... If you can afford the Orion it is a better quality amp.
