The ratlling does not affect performance....I spoke to someone who had the same problem with his OZ Matrix.

Inside the car there is pure bass (with no rattling sound). When one opens the trunk....the noise can be heard at high volumes.

$55 plus shipping is a steal!!!!

Is the rattling due to lead slap? Or is it a more serious problem? I might possibly be interested if I can find another one of these to match it.

I have the same rattling problem with my L7. It upsets me, when people listen to it in the car, then are like pop it and let's see it. Then BAM.. rattle rattle rattle. I just want to stab the subwoofer with a screw driver. I would never do that of course.

It could be the dust cap becoming unglued from the cone. I had to fix a friends sub that had this problem. Just use a hair drier or heat gun to heat up the glue and take the dust cap off and then epoxy it back down. \

Just my experience of nasty rattles.
