Howd you get orig coils resko1?
One of my vendors supplies these. And i believe spiders too.

i bet a 4 layer coil from sundown will fit, the 8 layer coil that i have is 3.010 ID and 3.257 OD
That would be pushing your luck. Sundown 4 layer has an od of 3.175 or 3.18. that leaves you ~2 thousands of gap od clearance. Not good. Thats asking for trouble. And the original spec coil has an od of 3.14.

well yea your right that would be pushing it a bit wouldnt it.

yes. 2 layer aluminum round on kapton former. i like jl's motor idea with the w7 but would have went a different route with effeciency.

op pm me you best price shipped flat rate. or if your interested, i can rebuild this reasonable for promotion.

pmd

to build this sub rite you need to pop the top plate and bore it out. that way i can get a good 4 layer coil in there. i do this all the time.

the problem with the w7 is the krapton former, yes its light but wont take the heat or abuse. the former will melt or snap when pushed hard.

so if anybody wants this motor turned into something you can drop 2k rms on let me know...

SPL is right. I can only do oem or oem comparable rebuilds. In order to fit a larger coil the topplate needs to be milled.
