12" hdc3 swapped out to hdc4 12" finally metered.

Well I got my single 12" aq hdc4 metered today. I just did a simple sub swap from the hdc3 to the hdc4. Im using a pro box which is 2.75 cu ft before displacement and tuned to about 40 hz. The sub is wired at .5 ohm running off an aq 2200d.

It was metered in the kick panel with a termlab.

hdc3 12" - 143.4

hdc4 12" - 144.5 (not really broken in yet)

Also, this was metered just off a rap song. lol

yeah, Im pretty happy that I basically gained 1.1 dbs just by doing a swap. Im going to sell this amp soon though, and put a bigger amp. Im thinking about getting two sundown sax3000 amps when I get my second hdc4.

Why not meter on the dash or headrest? Kick panel is cheating imo, easy to get good #'s there.

I did it off the dash too, it gains 1 db off the kick panel.
