12" Fi Q

Im getting a 12" FI Q for $200 insted of a 05 Re XXX, for about 370, i havent heard a lot about these FiQ's but are they ok to take 1400 watts Rms at 2.5 cubes and what other speakers are these comparable to?

i just installed mine at around 1200rms at like 1.3 cubes before sub displacment and let me just say its the best sounding/loudest sub ive ever had. im going to be eventually either going like 2.5 cubic feet sealed, or possibly ported

2.5 ported right? 1400W rms is great for it. Tuned it to about 28-31hz. And sit back and enjoy.

I have never heard a speaker that sounded anything like it. It is sooo tight and at the same time it gets low. I would have to say it is similar to a W6v2 or the RE SE but the Q handles Soo much more power.

Is there much difference in sound or output levels between a 12 and 15 Q? Or is it not even noticible. 15's got more surface area

yes almost double the cone area

How does a Fi Q 12" (or a 15" for that matter) compare to a Type-R 15" with them getting around 1400-1600 watts RMS.

the only subs that ive heard that sound better than it was my friends atlas 12 sealed and my dads RL-i 8 in a 4th obp.

I love the fact that the sub is rated at 1000w but it can handle so much more.

Yeah the sub is 2 weeks old, it was being powered by a 1000 watt MB quart amp in about 1.7 sealed it doesnt even seem as if its broken in yet so pretty much a new sub.

Yup that would be mine. Let me know if you want any details on it, I need two of them but with the dual 1ohm so I can run 1 ohm total...that is the only reason it is for sale.
