ok i am new to fi and to ported single cabs i am only wondering if it is possible to port a fi q 12 behind the seat. I read a forum where a guy did 2.45 cu with an aero port, does aero mean like... I can just built say a 2.5^3 ft box and put a 3.75 diameter pipe 7.75inchs down inside or do you have to put other wood inside as well. I guess what i just sayed is a 2.71 sealed but then cut a 3.75 inch hole and put a pipe down inside 7.75 inch will that even work if not can you help.

External deminsions are 57width by 17.5hight(max) by 5.5top depth and 10bottom depth!!

Input would help thanks and even design ideas!

Thanks,

TS

see i am new to this ported thing i lose a good amount of leg room but only up to those deminsions. i wanted something like aleast 2.35 after port and displacemnet and whats a good tuning for a q 12? Somewhere around 30-35 right?

edit: Truck is a 93 chevy cheyenne

I don't think the Q will fit. I am working with a reg. cab s10, and have 13"H 11" Bottom Depth and 5" Top Depth, and I couldn't make it fit. You're better off looking somewhere else.

so no one thinks the q's will fit? because i have or had 4 kicker cvr's behind the seat just fine if it wont fit ported it will sealed? right! the kickers are 6 and 5/16 deep the fi q is 7 so i should be able to make it

Ported or sealed doesn't really matter. With the Q, you are looking at an extra 3/4" of mounting depth. Plus I'm betting that the Qs motor is wider than the CVR's. i even tried going with 1/2" MDF for the back and bottom plates on the box and couldn't get it to fit. You might be able to fit a couple SSDs sealed though. get them with the copper coil, and the SQ should be almost as good as the Q.

The SSD and the Q are the same height.
