12" FI Q is it worth it

Sounds like a decent deal. If all you want to pay is $350 leave it there and see what he does..... He'll come down. They always come down. And if you don't get em' keep in mind they make more everyday.

I had one without BP. It got impressively loud and while people tend to claim they sound good, I disagree. 1cuft moderately stuffed sealed box, sounded... not like garbage, but definitely not good. My CDT QES-1220 (second still waiting install) sounds a good bit better to me. More articulate... less distortion. If you don't care about that too much (or if you've heard them before and disagree - it is only my opinion, after all) then $400 for the 2 is pretty good.

installation really affects sq so keep that in mind, some subs r more sensitive to installation too, i have 2 fi qs, and they sound decent in this crappy pre-fab box i have, but im currently in the process of building my new box which was designed by pwk designs, so i cant wait to see what they really sound like

This is the first time on this forum I've heard someone say this. I agree.

You aren't supposed to run Fi Q's in sealed boxes unless they have the high QTS option. IMO, the subs are made for low tuned ported enclosures to really shine anyways.

OP 400 isn't a bad price considering they are $300+ new a piece.

I thought the op asked was it a good deal or not? Not what your personal opinions on how the subs sounded to you. I had a pair bro and I paid $400 for em, they were well worth the money but if you can get em lower get em.

Yeah I passed on them, to me it was a little high for there condition. I have a 2010 dodge ram crew cab, and I am really thinking about just going with one really decent sub in a center console type box from floor to seat in the rear.
