hi, iam new to this and i need to know how to hook up my sub and amp correctly. I got 1 12 type r dvc 1242d and a kenwood kac-8152d 1100w mono amp. How should i hook it up like wat ohm i really dont know wat iam talkin about so any help would be great. thank u

put a wire connecting the positive and positive and connect the negative and negative, then run a wire from one of the pos and one of the neg to one of the pos and neg on the amp , simple as that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

actually no, that wire it in series making it 8 ohms, to wire it in paralell to get 2 ohms which would get the most out of his amp you would connect both + wires and plug them into the + terminal on the amp, then get both - wires and pluge them into the - terminal on the amp, simple as that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wat kind of speaker wire should i use for putting the neg to neg and pos to pos ? thank u
use monster cable. it transfers the electricity better than your average wires. be sure its 8 gauge because the bigger the wire, the more room the electricity has to move around and not get choked.

i was just kidding use 18-12 gauge of whatever you want
