12" CVR or 10" L7

I was going to try to make a ported box for the CVR's but the biggest box I can do is 3.8^3 ft before port displacement. I've been told that this is on the small side. So I was thinking maybe I should try to sell my CVR's and get some 10" L7's. Should I go ahead and try to port the 12" CVR's or get the 10" L7's and make a ported box for them. Im leaning towards the L7's because I could have a little more room to make the ports big enough and not have any port noise. Thanks

why not some cvx's? L7's are ok, great spl for the price, sq decent but build quilty sucks major azz, cvr's are good budget subs. if it was me i'd stay with the cvr's or just get one better 12.

the L7 is a bad@ss sub. i dont understand why some people hate them so much.

thy never let me down . even the L5's were cool. i just used less power.

i cant wait to port this cvx.

ya l7's **** majorly, my friend blew his 15, 3times, with a kx600.1, he then switched to a cvx and hasn't blown one yet, and i set the gain and everything so it wasn't distortion.
then your friend is an idiot! if he blew an L7 15 with 600 watts, he clipped it majorly, not the woofers fault, heck, I had 1300 watts going to an L5 12! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

ok whatever, go with a L7, i'll stil say they ****, the first he blew it the surrond ripped in 1 corner then spread half way around the sub, the second time the cone cracked, and the third time the coil froze. i've nevr knew distortion could cuase a cone to crack but whatever.

y-e-a, whateva....600 watts will NEVER get an L7 cone to crack, or enough power to tear a surround...coil froze, I can believe, with clipping.

your friend sucks at installing systems majorly....or wait, maybe it was you. how did you set the gain?

Thanks for the input. Do you guys think that 3.8 cubes is too much for 2 10" L7's?? Also I dont really wanna get a different amp so do you think that my power acoustik 2400db will be enough to push them fairly well?? Thanks again.
