Sold 12" Claw Mag motor and basket

12" Claw mag. Pretty sure it's the TC9 motor from what I've heard. Small paint chip on basket shown in pics. I can get pics of motor if needed, Just taped it up so nothing would get in there when I was cleaning. SI says this can be reconed with second generation mag parts.

If reconed properly with the spider landing sanded down and cleaned, should be around 1500 watts.

I had 800 on mine and it was perfect, I believe the RMS is 600-700

can handle more as well...

but thats for the mag v1, not just the motor.

1rst generation mags had a defect where they didn't properly clean off the spider landing during assembly. This led to spider coming unglued (which happened in my case) I had it on 1000-1200 watts daily for a long time. The spider only came off when I was stupid enough to turn off my subsonic filter.

I was informed by Nick at SI that when properly reconed with 2nd generation mag parts with the spider landing sanded down to bare metal (you can already see mostly bare metal, not that much sanding probably) that this will handle 1500 rms like 2nd gens and you can "beat the piss out of them."

hmm imna think about it because for sure im buying the FI Q and running 1k rms to it daily as soon as i get this amp and get it fixed so i might just get this and recone it and run it at 1k rms with the FI Q but do you guys think it might run out of phase or weird with 1 getting full power and the other geting 2/3s
