12' Kicker CompVR?

I have a single 12' Kicker CompVR for now and I was wondering what abot the box.. Ported or sealed? Its going in extended cab truck.

you can probably get away with doing a that particular sub ported and still have it under the seat.

spl and in a ranger... but i bought this box and it was sealed and i read the kicker manual and it said it needed a ported box... they said a port the size of my box... so i cut out a little port in my box and now it sounds like shit....idk what to do

how is that post and the post above it helpful at all. ok, the guy made a mistake, dont make him feel bad for it.

besides the point, look around at some of the ported box designes. you can find tons of them on this forum. that might help you get an image of how a ported box is constructed. if you are handy with a tape measure and a saw (table or cirular) and have the right tools to make a box, i would say it would be a good project. if you need some more help on the box, there are lots of people who can guide you down your road to good sounds. i am not sure what that woofer requires, but others on here do.

so you just cut a hole in it, did you use a port, if so, how big is the box, and port diameter and length?
