10's that work great sealed

Front stage: PG RSd6.5's powered by a JBL 180.2

My sub amp is a RF 501bd rated 500w x1 at 2ohms.

I want to do two 10's. Need to be rated 200-250 watts rms, 5.5" deep or less and work in a sealed box between .50 to .75 ft^3.

Any suggestions?

Good suggestion, havent heard anyone mention those in a while.

If you cant find a good pair reasonably priced or wanna buy new, I would go with some JL W1s. Lots of people hate on jl but I've always been impressed with thier performance when sealed, and they fit your requirements perfectly

I would have to agree that the w1v2's are a very nice sub.

I cant comment on the 10 but I have a few 8's that I have been playing with and they are VERY impressive.

If the 10's are anything like the 8's, you should be happy with them.

The Kappa's are another good option as well.

Kappa Perfect, 350 rms. I don't want to underpower a pair.

Arc subs are a little expensive, as are Image Dynamics.

HiVi looks good.

Dayton Reference are 350 rms. I don't want to under power a pair.

JLW1v2, only rated 150 watts optimum.

Elemental Designs, looks ok.

DCON, mounting depth too much, need 5.5" max.

I'd like to stay near 500 rms for a single sub or to a pair. Throwing 500 watts into subs that can handle 700+ watts seems like a waste of subs to me.

I run four of the MAX 8" subs they do well for a cheap sub. pretty well built for the price.

u can do whatever u want, but if u send 500 watts to subs rated for 700 watts vs sending 500 watts to 500 watt subs u wont notice a difference in ouptut
