So yeah...I just got my system completed friday night/sat morning...and I took it to a show and hit sh*t numbers...highest being 139.6 in a 1974 Ford Pinto //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif For those of you who know what that is you are probably laughing...But anyways, that isnt even loud and I am not happy with it, so tearing box out and building new one...but I will get to the point now. I was cruising through my town and was 1 block from Main Street...we have a carnival in town..literally right beside it, and i get pulled over for my stereo being too loud? it was not even half way up barely bumping...105$ talk about some bull sh*t?

Thoughts?

I know right....and it was not after 10PM either, which there is a disturbing the peace law for that....but talk about stupid, i got pulled over for it once before in my jeep and i had my sh*t turned up way louder, and wrote me a warning for it...this is just b/s

and he has no way to prove that is wasnt blaring.

pay the fine and be done with it.
innocent until proven guilty...if you fought it, youd most likely win. A lot of the times the cop won't even show up to the hearings. But then again, is it really worth all of the trouble for 100 bucks?

lol, you must have never been to traffic court before. its one persons word against the others. you think the judge is going to take the side of the offender over a police officer?

well here in indiana state troopers have decibel readers but the county cops dont so you could win based on you asking aboutwhat is you legal db level when they give you a response as what it is like say here in indiana its one 130 i think, they have no way to prove what decibel you were at.

been there many times unfortunately, though a lot of the times it was because i was a passenger and not directly involved. Once was actually because of a noise violation and a few other minor offenses. Police officer didn't show up, so by default we won and all was dropped.

And besides that, 130Db inside or out, because i was probably barly over 130 inside...even with a reader beside my window i bet it would have barly registered....he was just being a prick because i was following him, and we drove by a corner with like 3 officers standing there and right as we passed them he pulled over and got behind me....but it was not even loud, prick wants to hear loud i will let him. I mean i aint stupid i was not like blaring intentionally to get pulled over, was casually listening to it..

It was not up at all, you telling me when you driving around you have your stereo OFF? I highly doubt that...I wasnt blaring it like i play at a comp, was casually listening to it, There are tons of morons at my highschool that blare their shit 24/7 cuz they think they are loud, and have seen many of them pulled over for it, NEVER a ticket, just warnings...first time i get pulled over in this car, boom, ticket....and it was not half as loud as all the other kids aroudn here play it...i learned my lesson first time i got stopped...and it was a warning, grown up a bit since then...and the fact that it was like 4:30PM...and i was rigght by a carnival...i mean yeah if i was crusing through a neighborhood blaring i would understand..but i was not

The cop would not have pulled you over unless he heard it. Obviously he did hear it because you do own a system. Not just a stock radio. You were OBVIOUSLY playing it too loud. Quit crying on a message forum and move on with your life.

Oh and I don't have a system...

Ha..ok I retract previous statement...but then explain to me what is too loud? how do you know when to draw the line? That is my question i suppose because from my stand point i dont feel it was too loud, so you tel lme then, how do you draw the line.

if your rear view mirror is vibrating then the person in front of you can hear the hits in their car. sure there might be an actual decibel limit but fact is if the person in front of you can hear it in their car, you have it too loud.
