why would you have 3 8s over 2 12s?

Main reason would just to be different. Everybody and there brother has 2 12's 2 15's 2 10's. I mean yea your limited on what size sub you can get but d amn I am tired of seeing the same ole setup with just a different logo on the dust cap. Next reason would be that 3 sa-8's or emp8's will be just as loud as 2 12" sa or skars but IMO will look better doing it.

I think they are well built(not godly) but ok. For the price hard to beat.
We will see when I get my hands on the skar for testing soon.

No doubt they are priced well but so are tc oem speaker (if u can find them) with a lil hunting you can though. Everyone seems to forget about the many other subs out there. The shiva comes to mind also why no love for them??? skardbezz why have you not checked into the shivas?? You seem to care alot about xmax and the shiva beats both the sa and skar. Hell even has a higher power rating buy yet they get no love...

I dont know why people dont pay attention to the Shiva its priced low has specs to back up its claims uses everyones fav xbl tech but yet no love. Maybe I should start trolling the forum promoting the shiva and turn it into next months forum boner. Hell atleast its worthy of the attention. That is not a jab at skar.

$238 is a good price for what you are getting. Hell a bnib sa-12 cost $200 bucks so the price difference is min. Time to buy you one bumpin I use to own a brahma 12 back in the days yes I know a different sub but it was one hell of a beast. I picked it over the re xxx. This was when both re and adire just started so I am talking the real brahma and the real xxx.

I would think I can find something to suite my needs/wants better then the shiva for the price. If it was my guess, that is its down fall now. I remember when they came out and everyone was all about them until a few other companies put out similar subs for less.

ok ok you got me on the in depth mathematics. But in ur opinion you are willing to say that 3 sa 8's in a proper box can’t hang with 2 sa 12" in its proper box. Both only able to be feed 1000 total??
