1000 watt amp with 2 1200 watt subs???

Those subs say 50-400 watt operating range. That amp isn't very good at all and probably won't even come close to 1000 watts. It's probably a good match if you can get a few hundred clean watts out of that amp.

You aren't building a competition system with that equipment. It will add some bass to your music though which is always a plus...

Thanks for the quick reply.. So until I get the Kenwood KAC-9106D amp that matches my subs perfectly, should I only wire one subwoofer? Bridged?

Use both subs.
Thanks again lol but I have one more question, my car has 6x8s and 6x9s. Any recommendations? I bought a really cheap pair of Scoche 6x8s from Walmart and they ****! All I hear is bass from my subs and honestly I think there already blown and I've only had them for a couple weeks. Also I'm not sure on how it would sound but I would prefer little to no bass and all vocal sound in the door speakers. Sorry bout the noob questions LOL

^^^what he said^^^

I've got one of these subs, great sound. Hits the lows nicely.

Never pay attention to Max power ratings. They are a pointless marketing ploy, to attract people who haven't learned better yet. RMS power ratings are what's important. Those subs will do fine on that amp until you get one better, just don't send them dirty power, they will blow... Ask me how I know.

Thanks! And what do you mean by dirty power??? Lol

Have you tried going to the settings and then audio to see if the radio has a crossover so you can cut out low frequencies from getting to your door speakers? That will take the bass out of your door speakers but if your rcas for your amp are aren't coming from their own output labeled sub then you would also take the low frequencies from the subs. Also dirty power usually means it's "clipping". In simple terms your sending a bad signal to your subs. This happens for the most part for two reasons, one your not getting the supplied voltage required to the amp, or two you have the amps settings set to beyond what it can handle.

By dirty power I mean a clipped signal. This happens when improperly setting gains, higher than they should be set, to achieve more output from the amp and/or subwoofers.

When you here someone saying they have the gain, or even worse "volume knob", turned up halfway or 3/4 of the way, they are usually clipping the signal. This causes damage to the sub's over time. Gain is meant to match the input sensitivity of the source unit.

I actually blew my sub by setting the bass boost too high and the volume up really high.
