I am currently running 2 10w7s off an HD 900/5 and its just not doing the justice at all not to mention I have Hertz HSK XLs in the front that are bright as ish. I am looking to lose the 500 on the HD 900/5 amp and just buy a separate 1000 or 1200W amp to power these subs in a sealed box. I need some modern day recommendations for an amp that may not be as expensive as a JL HD 750/1 or 1200/1 series but does not sacrifice SQL

Thanks in advance!

PPI P1000.1 is rated for 1,000W @ 1 Ohm and it's underrated by about 20%. At 14.4V you should be peaking around 1,000W RMS on test tones. It's not a regulated design like the JL HD amps, but I think you would like it. If you want to spend more than ~$200 let me know.

The JD does ~800 watts@ 3 Ohms so I assume there would be no noticeable difference.
