make some sort of shield that covers where the seats seperate. like plexiglass or lexan or something, so that way if something spills, it deflects it to infront of/behind the seat, so nothing gets ruined again...and i think dye4metal was talking about like sending it to jl to have em fix it first before you mess up anything else up tryin to fix it urself. jl doesn't have that good of customer service though....

The problem is, even if you get it working again, if the soda's had time to get into the substrate, I've seen it eat traces months after everything was supposedly "working" again. If it wasn't powered when it came into contact, you might have had a chance by scrubbing it with fresh water, electronics cleaner and drying it, but with power applied, all bets are off...
