10"s or 12"s?

My friend's little brother got $300 for xmas, and just got his car like a month ago.... hes got a 2000 blazer. He wants a system ever since he rode in my car. So I'm thinking maybe two memphis 10"s? or 12"s? I figure I'll just get him a profile amp because they are sooo **** cheap. Anyone else think of any budget subs that are decent? I know that memphis hits pretty hard and has low power requirements.

lol I got a car just like that....kicker comps...not vr's but just regular comps are cheap and sound great. My first system was 2 12" comps and a 600 watt jensen amp. lol The amp fried and got a rockford 400, it sounded great. My friend now has those subs and they still sound good after a year of being beat to hell and back.
