10" kenwood 900 rms watts = dud

well I finily threw a new amp in my car and since it was more powerful than my old sub, i had to get a new sub. I droped them both in today, took her for a spin, tuned around with everything, but just coudln't get the baby to pump, I couldn't feel the power i knew was their, it was feeling the extreamly high hits but not properly.

is the sub, I have it wired in paralele, whitch I believe puts it at 1ohm, and I'm pumping it with

I was thinking maybe I'd have more quality hits with at 500 watts. I suspect the problem is my box, it's a .98 CF sealed box, whitch is pretty small, I know i need more than that for this kind of power. what do you guys think, I listen to just about everything except country, rock, metal, emo, punk, ska, pop, what ever

so I took the investigation to the trunk, opend her up with it pumping and saw the massive amount of power back their, the travel in the cone was emence and extrealy hard hit, I put my finger to it and coudln't even get close, it got slaped away and it accualy hurt, whith makes me think their is alllllot power their, alot more than this small box is allowing it to produce.

box is wayyy too big for a single 10 sealed. try reducing the interior volume by 30%.

it is kenwood sir their ratings are off by some if not a lot first and you should get a box built to the subs...if im correct you jus dropped the new sub into the old box yaaaaaaaaaa cant do that and expect it to be badass
