hey guys, i finally got around to getting me a new amp...power acoustic a1800db

Got it wired up and everything, and it sounds great. The videos do them no justice. for two 10" subs these things kick butt.

right now i have around 425 watts goin to each of em'//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif ....i was afraid to give them any more than that.

let me know what yall think...any comments that will benefit me are welcome

btw, my previous amp was a profile ap1000m which only does 500x1 @ 2 ohms:rolleyes:

(paper trick, similar to hair trick, hahaha)

Nicee...they can take more than that...check out my vid on youtube its right on the side in related vids...10 R off a Hifonics 1506 in friends truck...keep up the vids..looking nice so far

ahhhh, i see...i was gonna send u a message asking you how much power you had on it. How much power did it have on it?

Your box is bigger than mine (per sub) so mine should take even more than yours had on it...if i can keep my signal clean...Im around 1.375 cubes per sub.

....oh and that is one of the best vids i've seen of a 10" type r....simply amazing!!!

Well we never did clamp it but it was rated for 1500watts...it finally blew off a IA20.1 but that was a dirty signal....clean signal,as u said, and they can take a good bit of power....good luck:)

those type R's cant take that much power. You have the older models and you will cook em easy.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Those sound great, I am currenty looking to get 2 10" type R's but i was wondering do you need a farad capacitor or just an amp and wiring kit? Right now I have 1 10" L5 but it just isnt doing it for me anymore, I guess i'm jus bass hungry now :p

I dont have a capacitor on mine. I only have a 110 amp alternator, and the big 3 in 2 gauge wire. I would recommend you doing the new 06 model type r's in a ported box tuned to 28-32 hz...i wouldn't go any lower or higher. Do a big three and you should be set. At full volume i have hardly any light dimming with my current setup...hope this helps
