10?? l7 rattle

just rescently i redid my system. when i was putting the box with subs installed i put a small nick in the cone its not deep it just took the silver finish off, but when i have that sub playing i hear a strange rattle from it. its only that sub. i is nik causing rattle or did i blow sub during in stall

Take it out and check the coils with a DMM. I had a sub with a rattling noise before. One of the coils was blown.

i tested coils and they both read 4.6 also played music thru the sub out of the box sounds like something is hitting the cone

Check the triple joint. I can't even begin to count the # of L7's and L5's I have seen w/ a broken triple joint.

problem is i dont know wat their supposed 2 look like but there is a small 1 or 2mm flap near the seams that you can move with ur fingers
