And with the LOC is it okay if I just have the speaker wires from the LOC hooked up or do I need to have the ground wire too? Right now I only have the left and right + and - speaker wires from the LOC hooked up. I mean it works without it being grounded but could that be the problem?

the ground wires are to eliminate noise, that's not your issue.

Also, my speaker wires from my box are hooked up like this.....my left sub has the + and - hooked up on the left and my right sub has the + and - hooked up on the right. Is that fine or should I "bridge" them and have a + from the left sub and a - from the right sub and hook them both up in the left and do the same for the other side?

does the LOC that you are using have any adjustment points? you may have one of the knobs turned all the way up and one all the way down. they both need to be set at the same point. pics of your LOC and connections would be great to help us help you.

That's the LOC I have and both the gain knobs on it are halfway turned up at the same point. I'm just fed up with them not working. Like I said each speaker works fine separately just when they are running together they don't work properly.

I have my LOC hooked up to my rear speakers but my car is newer so it has like plug-ins to the rear speakers. There are two wires from the plug-in so I stripped half of the wires and connecte te LOC to those.

I found out what the problem was. I had both subs from my box to my amp hooked up from + to + and - to -. All I had to do was switch one of the subs wired to where the - was on the + and the + was on the -.
