Still undecided on 1 HDC 15 vs 2 HDS 12, anyway im not big on amps an ohms an all. So as i see it i can get

2200wrms @ 1ohm with the 2200d

2200wrms @ 2ohm with 2 1200d's

Do i make any since? Am i missing something? What are the pros an cons of more or less, ohms or amps? And im more toward the 2 HDS's which are rated at 1200wrms 2400peak

honestly strapping the 2 the amps you would get more vs the 1 2200. I believe when you strap that you help fight impendence rise. dont quote me on that tho

So what is the impedance, does it have to do with the ohm load? If so does a lower ohm = lager impedance, and isnt that bad?

yes impendence is the same thing and rise is were the ohm load rises once your bass is hitting. The ohm load doesnt stay at 1 ohm. the higher the ohm load the less power you get

So 4ohm is like taking 1liter from 1gallon, not using all the juice basically. An the lower the ohm the more juice is taken from said gallon? What is the danger with running a lower ohm?

Amp makes way more power at lower ohm. Drains electrical Harder. I dont run any of my amps over .5 ohm. If u dont clip them hard and dont let it get crazy hot they do fine at .5. If you strapped 2 1200's at 1 ohm, which is .5 per amp it should be louder. Honestly 1 yellow top isnt gonna cut it. Yellow tops are sub par to begin with and you are gonna be pulling close to 200 amps. 0 guage wire is a must.

not really any danger as long as said amp is capable, which the Q-amps are good amps, people run them lower then 1 ohm all the time. soundqubed wont recommend it and wont warranty it but people still do it and they run fine, they are very strong/built amps

With it seeming like I'l end up with a P900.4 an Q1-2200d, what kind of power upgrades am i looking at. I say YellowTop because im having a hard time finding an AGM to fit my '10 jeep patriot, its a group86 batt. Closest thing is a group75/25, also shud b able 2 fit an XS D925 in this spot....would that help

Look up datasafe hx batterys. I run the hx400's in my setups. Each one is good for 3kw daily. If you can fit an hx 300, then go to a welding shop and buy you some real 0 gauge. I would even put a hx400 in the back so you could go to 2 2200's and hdc3 12's in the future. Hope this helps ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif oh and i think batteryuniverse has the best prices on them.

That HX300 would be perfect. Is it actually a decent battery? I mean for $250 thats about that price of a new YTop an u kno how u feel about those. I see Odyssey for about $270 and is XS a starter batt option?

Yea they are way better than any other batts. I ran two 3500's at .5 a piece for 3 years off two of the 400's and they stayed in the low 12's. These batterys are what db drag competitors use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Is that the EnerSys or XS?
