1 or 2 10's?

Im thinking of tossing out my prefab and building a forward firing sealed box for my setup. It will go under the rear seat and with a slight seat lift it will be around 11.5" high in the front and 8" high in the rear. It can be roughly 50" wide, 11" front to back.

Im wondering if that would result in enough airspace for 2 decent 10" subs or if I should get something badass like a 10W7 ( or anything that POUNDS while maintaining a level of SQ....i know ppl here hate jl lol)

ps....it will most likely still be powered by an alpine pdx-1.1000 ( i may get a sundown but not sure yet).

These are some boxes people have made to fit under the rear seat, i know none of them are forward firing but i thought it might help to envision wat im talking bout.

You got anymore drawings? I have a K/C with one of tech 12's sealed boxes and was thinking about making a ported box to put in for when the seat is folded up.Going to be for two type R's that i have laying around.

As far as your subs,i hear those RE's dont need much space and sound realy good.I have a set of RE SRs coming and a single RE SE on its way.I'll let you know how they sound.

I got the drawings from clubtitan.com, i think ur a member there right? Tech has a ported box with 2 10" RE subs its $500. I figure i could build a sealed box and get 2 of those subs for cheaper than $500.

Well since you're going to be using a sealed box I'd recommend the Icons to you. I have 2 10'' Icons with 500 watts to each and love them. The guy I bought them from still has two left and they're dual 2 ohm so they would be perfect for your amp (which puts out 1000@2ohm I believe). Let me know if you are interested, I'll get you in contact with him.

Hmmm i was into the fast game for abit but then i thought, how fast can i really go in a big *** truck sittin on some big *** rims! They sound soooo good. Pretty comparable to the SE I guess. The ones that I have and that the guy is selling have the older dustcap on them, so they look a little different. Here's a link where you can see what they look like:
