1 cubic foot limit... sealed... and 5" mounting depth?

I had a truck and was having the same problem so i went to car toys and asked them if they had any JL audio 10w6v1 and they found some and they worked great i think they car toys in texas, i wouldn't hurt to try. By the way what is your budget?

I would like to stay under $150 per sub if running two. If I only run 1 I would like to stay under $200. The cheaper the better because it will get stolen. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I just can't seem to justify spending more since I know that one day it will most likely be stolen. The PG RSD10's seem to be the best choice for my application. They can take the power I am going to supply and also fit my box. Thanks for the info.

I'm currently revamping my stereo for my wrangler. Mine will be different in that I'm using the rear cargo space. I prefer taking out my back seat so I can haul my dogs around. I had 1 JL 10W3V2 back there, and it sounded good. It just lacked the bass I prefer. So now I'm shopping for a 12. My problem is going to be hiding my 25" long amp.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Click on Video's Orions. scroll down untill you see P series subs and watch them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have the P series subs ! I agree with you on sealed setups.

These are the HP series replacements . So if you get P series while their over stocked you get the same sub as an HP but cheaper ! They wanted to change the look thats all !

Go to http://www.realmofexcursion.com watch the pair of Orion P series subwoofers. One thing you will really notice is how clear the bass is from the recording , and listen to others then compare them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Some will argue that other subs are just putting out more DB's distorting the microphone LOL but look at what those subs do to that guys car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have a pair of tens and I kind of worry about playing them because they beat the hell out of everything causing tail lights to break etc..

The ONE thing everyone says about them is THEIR LOUD ! Im sure what you mean when you say you dont like ported because your ears seem to like sealed, is the fact that FAAAR away people can actually hear you playing BIA BIA , or an SPM bass tone ! These subs get so loud when people smoke in my car it takes them forever to finish a ciggarete.

THE SOUND JUST HITS THE HECK OUT OF YOU ... not this crap where all you get is DB's and things rattle .. but the sound itself... I dont know how to explain it, but you know what I am saying. People can hear the bass clean and clear FAR away !

The ONLY problem is .. they take easly 500W rms EACH .. In a sealed box I have seen them take 700Wrms for the past 3 years I have wanted them but this local audio shop charges 225$ a sub. A pair on ebay would go for 150$ shipped.

Btw I got both my 10's for 134$ + shipping and I am perfectly happy with them.. their too loud, cant play it with my kids in the car, and most the time they make everyone uncomfortible when I play them loud. Makes people paranoid too because their so loud !

I wont be going to any other sub for a long time, I am thinking about buying two more because Im soon to get a toyota 4 runner and may put all 4 in there !

THEY MAKE things MOVE !!!!!! Make peoples house windows vibrate . Anyhow .. look them up for yourself and watch that video //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think those in the vid are ported .. im not sure ! I could scream at you in my car and you couldnt hear me because the bass is so loud ! I am upgrading components so they can actually be heard over the bass !

If you build this enclosure out of fiberglass you might be able to use a deeper subwoofer. I had a wrangler so I'm familiar with what you're talking about (cut out the foam, the crossbraces, etc). I built a box but I used 1/2' mdf and fit 2 old school round solobarics in it.

edit: FYI they were 10" subs. I forgot to mention that.
