1 cubic foot limit... sealed... and 5" mounting depth?

I have a Jeep Wrangler that I am building a sub box for. It will be in the back seat (in the bottom seat cushion) so I can still keep my small trunk area and also be well hidden. Here is the deal, the biggest I can make this box is 1 cubic foot and it can only be sealed. Also, I am limited to 5" to 5.25" top mount depth. I would really love to run two 10's that can handle a pretty good amount of power (400-500rms each) and I have never run any 8's so I kinda want to stay away from those. If this was the only way you could run a sub in your car/truck, what would you choose?

P.S. The cheaper the better and I would love an amp suggestion too! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Im curiou as well. I had 5.5 in of clearance, I cold fit jl 10w0's. This was in 2000, I hear that there are many manufactures that make shallow mount subs, and although I will probabily replace my tired drivers with the same , i would still like some options. Small sub enclosures are all ways ported, and sound tight, I listen to rock and its great. If you want to wang rap bass, get a big ported box for the rear seat and forget the passengers.

My music preference is indeed strange. I go from Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole to Metallica and Outkast. I have always liked the sound from a sealed sub compared to a ported or vented sub. I don't know why, but my ear just seems to like them more.

It seems as though that 2 of the PG RSD10's would be a perfect fit. The depth works as well as the sub box size. Does anybody run these that can comment on them?

I've head really good things about mach audio 5's. 5 inch mounting depth for the 10 inch sub and pretty cheap. I have no personal experience with these subs I have just been hearing alot of good things about them.

What's your budget?
I would like to stay under $150 per sub if running two. If I only run 1 I would like to stay under $200. The cheaper the better because it will get stolen. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
