I **** at math and mis-multiplied the cost per yard...

Yes, it comes from Lowes, but it IS an aluminum-backed closed-call foam in a 1/8" thickness that is self-adhesive. I looked it over, and it seems pretty good. I am looking for the opinion of others on this site. I know from my construction experience that when properly applied, it WILL stick to condensation-covered ductwork (assuming that it is applied while everything is DRY). You will need to use HVAC tape to tape together the 12"-wide sections, but it is cheap and available locally.
That works out to $9.00/yd (+ tax but no shipping). Not bad for a foam barrier- with an aluminum outer skin. I searched and found little about it. I see that some people have used it, but I see no remarks about how it works, one way or the other.
Thoughts?
