1.75 cu ft w/port tube. Work w/12w1v2?

Hey guys, I have a Q-Logic 1.75 cu ft per chamber ported box. I'm looking to buy a couple W1's, and the ported box they recommend is 1.75 cu ft.

Couple questions

-When they say "tune to 28 hz" for the W1, what exactly does that mean? How do you "tune it"?

-Would a slotted enclosure be better? Or are slotted & ported basically the same?

-Would I have to modify my port tube in any way?

ok...The tuning is the frequency that the box is at. a "slot" enclosure is a style of a vented or ported enclosure. Get a box made for those subs instead of a prefab. The enclosure will make the difference..

Dammit, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. Would it be difficult to build my own slotted enclosure? The local stereo shop sells them for $100.
