Ok I been in the auduio game for 5 years (rookie) and still dont understand something. I just upgraded from 4 kicker CVX's in a ported box at 35 hz with a Hifonics Brutus 2600D mono amp on them at a 1 ohm load to a 1 RE XXX 15'' with same amp and same load but built a 5 cb ft box tuned at 37 hz and that one 15 hits way harder than them dam 12's? How is that possible if the total RMS of them 12's are 3000 RMS and with a cone space ratio of 48/15? The RMS on the RE is only 2000 Watts but im giving it all of them 2600 tho. I have a Kinteik HC2000 as well. Can someone please explain this to me. Im so confused.

Better box?

Doesnt make much sense to me neither lmao. Kinda thought more cone area=louder.

i had an american bass vfl 15 dual 2 on a single orion 2500d and it was .2db louder than my four RE MX 12 dual 2's with two Orion 2500d's @ .5 ohm each. Its all about the box mayne.

So what youre saying, Kicker 2008 products are better than RE audio 2008 products? If so, you are a disgrace to car audio period.
read my post again and see if i said that.

and in terms of RE's new lineup, i am disappointed to say the least.

but enough dicking around. 4 12" CVX's, if properly installed, would not be comparable to a single XXX in terms of loudness.

this is coming from a guy that has experience with both brands, and someone who is fairly decent at box design

edit: wrote 15's on accident, but the same case goes for 12's
