1 15" Super Shocker vs 4 10" Cerwin Vega V-max

I recently blew my 15" Super Shocker and I am trying to decide weather to get it reconed or just get 4 10" v-max(newest model) in a snail shell box. What would be louder?? If it helps any the 15 was in a 4 cuft box tuned to 32 hz and powered by a audiobahn A2300HCQ and the same amp would power the 10's.

This is really a rediculous thread... The FOUR ten inch subwoofers will have the potential to be louder than a SINGLE fifteen inch subwoofer. It will be install dependant, but I would go another route entirely...

It would depend on what you want... SPL or SQ? And is this for strictly a daily driver vehicle or comps as well?

It would be Daily driver and I want a nice mix between spl and sq 70/30 somthing like that. I have a 1984 Cutlass supreme if that helps any.

with the money you spend on a box for 4x10's, you could get one SX15 from RE, and port it.

snailshelling 4x10's would be a crazy huge box.

I was getting the box built for about 70 bucks and I can get a deal on the subs.

How much would I pay for a new SX15

~280 shipped, i just built a box for a sx15 for this dude, i think thats what he was saying..
