1 15" RE SXX vs 2 12" RE SE's

So, I am building my first sound setup for my car focusing on SQ but with some nice punch. After talking to some people, I have been checking out the subs from RE.

I was specifically looking at getting 1 15" RE SXX and having a custom box made for it. However, for just a bit more, I could get 2 12" RE SEs. Would either of these setups be a good deal for a first time SQ rig? I am not set on RE audio....I have about $300 to spend on any SQ subs. Which is better, the 1 15" SXX or 2 12" SE's?

I also was looking for an amp for either of these setups. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was thinking of perhaps getting a Kicker 1000w or 1500w amp used. I have about $250 max to spend on an amp.

550 is a great budget.

The re sxx 15 is not bad but they were better years ago.look for an sx instead

I have 2 re se 12s the good model i could do for your price range.
