1 15" 2000watt V.S. 2 12" 1000

Which would sound better in the SPL category?? 1 15" 2000 watt RMS sub such as the FI BTL in a 4cf ported box, or 2 12" 1000watt RMS subs such as FI BL's in a 4cf ported box?? And where would a 15" AQ HDC3 fall in there, louder than the BTL or the 2 BL's?!?!
