hey, i currently have a 12W7 getting around 800 watts from a fosgate 1001bd. It sounds good and is in a ported box with 2.0^3ft air space and is tuned to around 30 HZ. I am thinking about getting 3 10W6V2's to maybe get a little more volume and i want to put them in a sealed enclosure with each sub having 0.7^3ft air space. Now i know that those w6's will handle 500 watts all day and not even sweat, but the amp i have will only send them around 300 watts. I am not interested in getting another amp, i just wanna know what would sound better or louder, or both in the two described setups. would the benefits of upgrading be enough to substantiate the cost? thanks!

will it get as "low" as the W7 though? i love that type of bass that just shakes EVERYTHING that u dont really hear and im wondering if the W6's will do that. Also with them only getting 300 watts, will that extra cone area be as beneficial?

I think that it will sound better overall with the 3 w6's but as far as being that much louder I doubt it is worth the conversion unless you plan on porting the W6's. You could put all 3 w6's ported in an enclosure that is 3-3.5 cubic ft ported and that would definately be worth the upgrade.
