read my sigPersonally, I would go with (2) 8s, just because the 12W6v2 (I use to own two) doesn't seem to have the acuracy that the smaller subs do. Don't get me wrong, the 12W6 is a good sub, but if you want tight, exact bass that can be played at any volume (not just high volume) and sound good, smaller subs like 10s and 8s just sound better IMO. While I was running two 12W6v2s, I always noticed that they were struggling to hit with precision when encountering quick bass notes (like those found in dance/trance/house and some hiphop). It was almost like they were always trying to catch up with the beat so to speak. I had them in a few different set ups, so I know it wasn't the box. This happend in 3 different boxes (one of which is now in my friends tahoe). Anyhow, some might disagree, but that's just my $.02. Hope this helps.
nothing, id recomend the 1000/1 or 500/1which would you choose, and what amp to power the 2 8w7's instaed of a JL 1000/1 amp?
i don't know why everyone thinks that the w6's have better SQ. i would say go with the w7's, i think they sound way better than the w6s.
