1-12" idMAX ported -> 2-12" idMAX sealed ???

hey i have a ported 12" idMAX tuned to 32 hz.. it sounds awesome now that i've RTA'd my system and equalized the CRAP out of it. but i was wondering if going to TWO idMAXes in a sealed enclosure would give me more SPL results yet still "seem" to be as loud considering i give two subs the same amount of power as i would one? or would giving 700 watts to two idMAXes (1400 watts total) be as loud as a single 700 watt ported idMAX be the same? what kind of results could i expect going double sealed.. to sum it all up, i want "thicker" bass.. but i realize at the same time i dont want the sub to be all LOUD because i don't want my subs to drown out the mids and tweets.. i have the gain set on my modded MTX 1501d @ 1 ohm real low.. about 5oo watts MAX musically.

edit: hmm.. im thinking maybe i should sound deaden my doors and trunk in my integra before considering going dual idMAXes sealed? or would two sealed idMAXes sound better without a doubt?

why dont you give your one ported idmax 1400 watts? that shit would pound your nuts off
because when i give it 1400 watts and measure my system on the RTA it looks like this:

||||||||||..............................................

the lines represent the sub frequencies and the periods represent the mids and tweets.. so i guess that means giving my sub 1400 watts drowns out my components dramatically.. and i really like how it sounds by not "overpowering" the sub.. i really don't think lil jon and the eastside boys' chest were being pounded in by subwoofers in the studio when they were making hits like throw it up and other subwoofer-friendly traccs.. if so, the drums must've been hitten HARD and the tweets/highs must've been screaming.. i want to FEEL the bass in my car more without drowning out my components!

lol j/p

hrmm maybe try a different sub? you want it to be louder, but not sound louder? :p maybe you are just searching for a different sound.
or maybe try going sealed? is that the sound im looking for? i have my rta read-out pretty flat with the sub frequencies (thanks to my EQ).. would going sealed yield obvious positive results?
