1 12" Brahma louder than 3 10" Audiobahns?

I am new to this forum and was wondering what setup you guys think would be louder 1 12" brahma or 3 10" audiobahns? I have a cadence 7HC amp that puts out around 1200Watts rms running my 3 10" audiobahns right now. The audiobahns are cheap, I know, but I have them in a sealed box wired to 1.3ohms and I think they pound pretty loud and clean. They are rated at 450 rms a pieace and have an Xmax of 10mm . If I go with a 12" Brahma in a sealed box, say 1.2 cu ft and feed it 1200 watts, will it be louder than my 3 10's because the Xmax of the Brahma is 29mm?

It sure would sound better, but I'd seriously doubt it would be louder. If you put that brahma in a ported box though, it would be another story.

Probably louder for a given clean output level... A fat-surround 10" woofer has an Sd around 310 cm^2. With 20mm of peak-to-peak excursion, that means each driver can displace ~620 cm^3 linearly. Or the trio will do ~1860 cm^3. A single Brahma 12 (Xmax 58mm peak-to-peak, Sd 436 cm^2) does 2529 cm^3, or ~36% more linear displacement than the trio of AudioBahns.

to answer your question, i dont think it would be louder. but i definately agree with the single 12 sounding much cleaner. honestly id keep what you got, you seem to be SPL geared.
