1 12 or 2 12's?

ok, so right now i have an infinity kappa perfect 12.1. im putting 300watts to it, it should have about 400 going to it.

now heres my question, i either have a box that i can do the infinity in OR i sell my infinity and box and amp for about 80$ to my friend, and i start new, now would 2 of these,

be louder?

in a ported box of corse.

so basicly, keep infinity- make a ported box for it.

get the 2 kickers, and amp, make a ported box for it, and run them.

what do u guys think? i LOVE LIKE SPL, but i also like some rock, but i can always just turn off the sub u know?

so opnions?

i dont have ALOT of $$$ 2 spend, like ALL TOGEATHER for sub/amp/shipping, NO MORE than 240$

it just doesn't seem like it'd do the 12s any justice. if your gonna do it do it right. i've never even heard of hitron.

Basically cause Hiltron, is a no-name amp.

I had 2 10'' version of those kickers for like 7 months, I was very very happy with them. I had them in a sealed enclosure. Those are good subs. Their great budget subs.

Find a new amp.

Port the infinity. You'll be surprised. I feed one 12" 600 RMS

ok heres a another idea, buy a better amp for the infinity???

and yea, if someone can find a better setup for same or less money, SHOW me, lol. and yea.

horsemanwill- the amp would be doing the RMS PERFECTLY, so wouldnt that be, like perfect for them?

sheneb*- ummm yea, can the subs hit the lows tho, cause i like a good range of high/mids/lows. and yea, plz find me a amp, thats good, but not any more money plz!

and project peckin- that exact sub???

the amp may put out the right power but that doesn't mean it's gonna be clean power. it may put out 300 watts rms but if it's "dirty power" i could take a 150 watt clean amp and make it sound way better. if price is a problem i'd scour ebay.

that hitron amp aint going to hit near as much as those subs can take with just a 25 amp fuse....

O or i could do 1 kicker 12" L5 with an amp(forgot which 1) for 220.

ok, how about this, i have 200ish to spend on a new setup, amp and sub(s).

what u think i should go with, i LOVE bass, but i also like a little SQ

if that's the case keep ur kappa build you a ported box to spec and get you a good amp
