1 12 or 2 10's

I have a 2004 WRX and am looking to upgrade the sound system now. I am thinking of picking up a PPI 2150AM for the subs. The question is do i go with 1 600w +/-RMS 12 or 2 10's.

any suggestion on setup or brand of subs ...

how much room are you willing to give up for the sub system? usually a single 12 will take up less space than 2 10's. another thing, is you would need to buy a beefier sub to run single, than if you were to buy 2 smaller subs. 2 subs will handle the power that the 1 sub would have to. so you can typically get away with 2 entry level subs. what kid of budget are you on?

As said it depends on a budget most of the time you can get out cheeper with one beefy sub than 2 smaller ones.

I am not looking to spend much more then say $250 to $300. I was looking at some RE Audio Subs. My number one priority with the car is performance, but at the same time i drive it 80 miles a day and also want a nive sounding audio system.

A Rockford P3 Should Be Around $250. Then You Would Just Need A Box. They Are Rated For 500 Watts

For $250 you can do much better than P3's
