08 XXX or 08 BTL *Vote*

To the ear, my 08 XXX is louder off the same power as my MT

But the mic shows differently

seems like you want to get crazy loud, the XXX won't give you that

i used to shove 2500 to mine it got low and clear and loud i just dont think it beats the btl on loud

updated the Original post.. now trying to choose between a FI BTL and a DD95 series.. I really want to stick with Fi but DD might be a good alternative what do you guys think?

you know these drivers couldnt be any more different

one has very little xmax and very high sensitivity, and the other has very high xmax and very low sensitivity.

You really need to figure out what kind of system you want to make, and then choose the woofer for the job. When you get done doing that, you wont even have a dilemma, the choice will be a landslide in favor of one woofer or the other, trust me.

3000 daily is truly a tall order. I don't think any of the subs you have listed will really take 3k without worrying about frying them, you really need to be looking at 2 subs or a "super sub $$$" IMO

If you play gain master and loose nut behind the volume knob as many do you'll burn it up.
