08 Altima/Alpine ida-X001/SWI-JACK - possible to reprogram steering wheel controls?

I just purchased an 08 Altima Coupe and installed an ida-x001 w/ ipod touch and Sirius tuner I had previously. Also purchased an SWI-JACK. Steering wheel controls are Source, Preset Up/Down, and volume. I almost exclusively listen to my ipod - I rarely listen to the radio and my Sirius pretty much stays on Howard 100.

As such, I was sort of assuming that the Preset Up/Down would translate to track controls on the ipod, but it turns out it does nothing. I suppose that makes sense, in retrospect, as the Preset functionality doesn't do anything in ipod mode.

Is there any way to reprogram the SWI-JACK to send commands for Tuning Up/Down (which would translate into ipod track advance) instead of flipping through presents?
