It's worth way more than that, if you want to spend the money on it go for it.

650$ + shipping for the '06 XXX15" is a good deal. Im going with the 12" all i ca do right now....I think both would be nice but me personally I would do the 2 '05 xxx's since you have the room..more cone area...and with the same amp im sure can get louder....

EDIT: Im sure re audio is unknown in your area anyways so its not like 2 old xxx's would be the norm anyways...besides since re audio is catching on and the average consumer would buy from a shop im sure they'd be getting the new xxx anyways so if by any chance someone was to purchase re and got the new xxx you can say you got 2 of the older versions..and hopefully yours would be louder?

thats what i said myself...but i drive a regular cab...I could have done a cut-through but my parents gave me a Hell No on that one...so I was stuck with one sub and I wanted to get potentionally as loud as 2 subs so I chose the '06 xxx12" I couldnt even fit a 15 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I think the '06 15" would be incredible. It should play lower frequencies at an spl that would sound so impressively loud. And I always think its cool when you have a single subwoofer that will out-do 99% of the dumbasses out there with however many subs they have.

I think the '06 15" would even displace more air than 2 '05 12's. Someone correct me if im wrong.

i doubt it, it could though, dont feel like checking, i do know that it takes a good bit more than rms to get close to its xmax

but 2 is usually better than one

Im not sure if my math is right but a 15 has an sd between one and two 12's, but the '06 has some outrageous xmax like 54mm, as opposed to the 33mm(or so) of the previous model.

get the 2 old ones....

as much of a die hard RE fan as i was, they are selling the fhell out and making as much money as possible.....at the expsense of loosing alot of thier original customers by jacikng the prices up. i miss the days when i could call RE, talk to Mark, buy a recone and a shirt, and they'll throw in a hat and some decals for free for me....but now, there's some girl names holly at corporate in Cali they put on the phone cause they know we wont curse at her as bad for the price hike..... as of today, 159+ship for an old xxx15 recone, $206+ship for an mt18 recone..... WTF....i guess they discovered how to make money the JLaudio way....make a good product and jack the price up...well whoever bought out re (new owners recently i hear) should be lynched for doing this to RE.... RE was like a new hope for some of us out there who enjoyed decently priced awsome equpiment (not saying there aren't other good brands like that out there, but re had it's tim e as a great name).....now it's just getting sucked into the mainstream comercialk audio crap that'll happen to any company thats gets recognized fo quality......i just hope incriminator audio doesn't pull the same bullshit a year from now.....

sorry got a lil off topic........ stick with the 2 older 12's....dont give RE anymore money. they'll get louder with the same amp and the right box, more cone area, and personally, i think the older ones look sexier...the new one's are like the pug fugly busted ***** the damaged people take to prom thier senior year
