L5 12's sound decent tuned high, too, it's just what kind of sound you want.

That, and the tuning and box size should coincide. Not as important for tuning higher, but you always need to make sure the box is big enough for how low you want to tune. No sense tuning a small box to 30hz, etc.

yeah i searched the forums and someone had 2 l5's and wanted a box and was suggested the last box in the sticky, the only thing is i want dual chambers....i don't want a single chamber

i would prolly go closer to 2-2.5 cubes a piece.. and i would tune lower. 33-35/36 would be pretty sweet, i think youre missing out on too much low end with a 40 hz tuning personally.
