05 Ford F-150 Amp power wire installation

I need some help. I have my amp and battery located on the passengers side of the vehicle. There is no way to go through the firewall without drilling a hole through the firewall on the passenger side. How has everyone else dealt with this problem?

have you check everywhere under the dash for a spot? sometimes around the steering column theres easy spots to go through... i doubt a new car like that wouldnt have a grommet in the firewall if you dont get an answer from anyone that has an f-150 i could check my dads he got an 06 im supposed to meet up with him to get some blueprints in a little anyhow

the passenger side is usually crowded with the heater core and fan motor and duct work. not a lot of space there. maybe if you remove the glove box you can expose some of the firewall up higher.

yea, in my 97 f150, i had to route the wire around, and come under the steering wheel, then back over again... blows, but it's what ya gatta do...

I heard there is a way to go through the firewall through an opening below the steering column. Is this how you set yours up? Do you have your amp mounted at the rear of the cab or under the passenger seat?

sorry for the delay in getting back to this thread, forgot all about it

yea, there's a hole there, above the pedals. it's like an inch and a half, maybe two inch hole, it's got a rubber grommit too, so it's pretty perfect, nothing else was run through it.

my amp will be sitting ontop of the box, which will be in the middle of the cab. box is being finished now, will post pics of everything finished, this coming weekend (the 4th) here's a link to my thread http://www.caraudio.com/forums/car-audio-build-logs-cars-trucks-suvs/510180-lets-start-already.html
