04 Subaru Legacy, Why can't I find any info?

LOL
I've been trying to find a detailed guide with pictures to take apart the radio and front doors in an 04 Subaru legacy sedan. It's not like I couldn't do it myself by trial and error, but I'd REALLY like a guide to get a heads up on any thing odd. Seems like the info is very limited, many sites that have wiring info have it to 03 then skip and go to 05? WTF? I found the wiring info in one or two places but nothing else. Not even speaker size. Going to go to Crutchfield right now to see what they have, just forgot about them. No build logs that I've found for this vehicle, not even in Subaru forums? Wondering what I got myself into on this one? Anyone have access to Directech's or some other database? They must have updated, my old username/pw does not work.

Thanks,

Goodstuff

Plus taking out that radio can be done blind folded. If you take a pic of it I can tell you exactly how. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've taken out probably 100 of those dash boards apart

Now that I think about it, I've done the headunit part once on my friends subaru. I know I could run through it, just wanted a headsup.

I was just getting nervous that it was some freak of nature, uninstallable car.

before u think about pulling any of those wires apart behind the head unit you should unhook the positive terminal on the battery cuz i forgot to and i blew the fuse to my head unit ( the fuse under the dash )

Yeah I always disconnect the battery. I need to, otherwise when I pull the seats it will trip the airbag light and it will have to be reset by a dealer. I saw a liberty/legacy shared service manual on ebay so I think they are the same.
