04' or 05' G35 or a Brand New Mazda Speed6?

if you're going to say it owns the mazda please tell me how. it doesn't won in speed i know that for sure, i don't see how a 2wd car with an altima chasis (the 04' g35 had the altima chasis not the 350z as far as i know or thought it did) can outhandle an AWD car. so please go into more detail than it owns the mazda tell me why and how just for peace of mind.

on the old corvette, it'd have to be an 01' or newer and that is a bit higher than i can afford for insurance and i need more than a 2 seater.

keep in mind this is the sedan not coupe so if you're comparing the coupe that doesn't help me any.

that is b/c you've driven both a speed6 and a g35 sedan right? if not i don't see how you can compare the two.

hahahah......i wouldnt be comenting in this thread if i didnt have experience with both cars..........my friends got one......and yes g35 does handle better.....has a wider top end also

i need the sedan for several reasons beyond the fact that i need the trunk space. either way sag i want to know how the g35 owned i know it doesn't in speed and i'm curious on how it handle's better i'll see when i drive one in a few weeks.

hahahah......i wouldnt be comenting in this thread if i didnt have experience with both cars..........my friends got one......and yes g35 does handle better.....has a wider top end also

i'll have to see for myself as i'm amazed it handle's better. most 2wd vs. a true AWD the AWD has better handling.

either way the biggest plus on the speed6 is it's a 1/2 second faster which speaks loudly to me, that and the cheaper insurance.

Turbo spool > the same exhuast note of the G35, 350z, Murano, and the FX.

I've driven the Mazda 6 6MT V6, and it's decently fast, but the shifter is loose and inacurate.

The Infiniti G35 wins IMO because of it's avaliability in a coupe version, and the sports package comes with Brembos.... MMMM Brembos....

280hp > 276hp w/Turbo Lag.

The G35 coupe is do for a makeover, so you might want to hold off untill then.

yeah b/c i have no car and can walk for 2 years lol. again, the coupe isn't an option so i don't see why mentioning it, in this 1 case, pretend the coupe does not exist. you confused the hell out of me saying " I've driven the Mazda 6 6MT V6, and it's decently fast, but the shifter is loose and inacurate." What the hell is a Mazda 6 6mt v6? you combined the g35 6mt and a mazda 6 it sounds like lol. on the note of hp and torque, you're talking 6hp more in the g35 and 10 torque more in the speed6 so it's not much different but the speed6 is somehow .5 second faster.

Mazda speed 6 hands down.

They look nice, they handle nice, they are tested to hell and back. They RARELY have ANY mechanical problems, and those problems are fixed.

Mazda's really do have more thought put into them than people believe.

My neighbor works for mazda as a technical blah blah something expert and was the a key designer in the mazda speed 6, and it really is a quick *** car for a sedan, and it handles very well from what he told me.

arsonbob, ask him how he compare's it to a g35 sedan if he's driven one for me. i'm curious what an expert says about it. i know i've driven a g35 to hell and it was fun and it really does grip the road at 105+ that i have to say.

Don't get me wrong the mazda speed is decent but it just doesn't compare

a couple parts where you are wrong. 1) it's not a gussied up focus at least definetly not the speed6. 2) not even the v6 version of the mazda 6 only has 200 now it's 215/220 and the speed6 is a 274/280 torque while the G35 is 280hp/270 torque or 298hp/260 torque. 3) The speed6 is AWD not FWD.

So with that being said your girl is still hot but you were a little off on the specs of the cars.

AWD is so overrated it's not even funny...

all i'm going to say is, a regular basic M3 outhandles an S4 in both rain, snow, and dry conditions. to hell w/ AWD

honestly...

G35 sedan are very ugly IMO

Mazda Speed 6 are alot sexier in sedan version...

BUT

if i were u id get an Audi S4 2002 Wagon or Sedan, they look freakin great and are decently fast and interior is awsome, classy/sporty/reliable/german , u cant beat that ...there is the AWD version also...look into these

If u like to stick with japanese, then id go with the Acura TL Sedan2004
